Amy Jo (Riggs) Farmer

Amy Jo Farmer, 46, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.

She was born on January 9, 1970 in Sullivan, Indiana the daughter of Roy Riggs and Connie (King) Riggs. Amy graduated college with an associate’s degree. She was a sign language interpreter for 20 years and then an office manager at the Sullivan County Purdue Extension Office. She was a member of the Jasonville Assembly of God Church.

Amy is preceded in death by daughter, Amanda Jo Scoville, brother, Keith Thomas Riggs, maternal grandparents Clarence and Helen (VanArsdall) King and paternal grandparents; Charles and Margaret (Frisbie) Riggs, .

Survivors include her parents; Roy and Connie Riggs, daughter, Brenda Swearingen, brother, Todd (Jenny) Riggs, one granddaughter, Amanda Swearingen all of Hymera, Indiana and her special aunt & uncle; Deanna and Richard Riggs. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Sam Bush officiating. Interment will follow in K of P Cemetery in Hymera, Indiana. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Brust Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
