Areatha D. (Stanley) Walters

Areatha Stanley Walters, 92, of Brownsburg, Indiana formerly of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Brownsburg Health Care.

She was born on August 25, 1925 in Sullivan County, Indiana the daughter of Roy Stanley and Vina (Ransford) Stanley. She was employed by the Index Notion Company and retired after 31 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sullivan and a 50 years member of the Eastern Star Lodge 188, Alpha Delphian and American Legion Auxiliary 139.

Areatha is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 51 years, Rollie Walters who passed away in July of 1993, brother, Lloyd Stanley and two sisters; Galeda Anderson and Freda Exline.

Survivors include three special nieces; Shirley (Tom) Campbell, Rhonda (John) Harris and Marti Stanley, one special nephew, Mark (Lisa) Stanley and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, November 24, 2017 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Jim Littlejohn. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, November 24, 2017.
