Dorothy J (Harris) Benstin Osburn

Dorothy J. Benstin Osburn, 86, of Washington, Indiana passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at The Legends Village Assisted Living.

She was born on April 18, 1929 in York, Illinois the daughter of Earl C. and Ruth (Dudley) Harris.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Seymon Benstin, second husband Ronald Osburn, daughter Karen Knight, brother Ralph Harris, three sisters: Mary Burgett, Lenore Bridgewater and Earlene Sickel and son-in-law Brady Laffoon.

Survivors include her son Mark (Sandra) Benstin of Bedford, Indiana, three daughters: Cheryl Laffoon of Terre Haute, Indiana, Cathy (Jack) Prince of St. Simons Island, Georgia and Kim (Greg) Thompson of Washington, Indiana, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and sister Jean Lindley of Sullivan, Indiana.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Johnson Cemetery in Graysville, Indiana with Rev. David Cox officiating. In lieu of flowers family request memorial contributions can be made to Sullivan County Humane Society 2425 North Section Street Sullivan, Indiana 47882. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
