Frances Vivian (Rooksberry) Anderson

Frances Vivian Anderson,92, of Terre Haute, Indiana formerly of Farmersburg, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Meadows Manor East.

She was born on August 15, 1924 in Dugger, Indiana the daughter of Elmer Rooksberry and Hallie (Bercaw) Rooksberry. Frances was a lifelong homemaker and a member of Farmersburg Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday school, vacation bible school and helped anyway she could in the church. Frances also helped many community seniors sign up for meals on wheels in Farmersburg.  

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence Lee Anderson who passed away on August 2, 2000, brother, James Rooksberry, four sisters; Berniece Baker, Dorothy Boone, Helen Collenbaugh and Shirley Rickert and two sons-in-law’s; Wayne Snarski and Curtis Culver.

Survivors include son, Clarence (Linda) Anderson of Crystal Lake, Illinois, four daughters; Evalina Snarski (Miguel Fonseca) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Virginia (Jerry) Huston of Sullivan, Indiana, Lorena Culver of Terre Haute, Indiana and Marcia (Gregory) Carter of Terre Haute, Indiana, brother, Charles Rooksberry of Port St. Lucie, Florida, step-brother, Wallace Cooksey of Palestine, Illinois, nine grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Zachary McCullough officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Brust Funeral Home.
