Jean Ann (Faris) Phegley

Jean Ann Phegley, 73, of Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Cobblestone Health Campus in Terre Haute.

She was born on October 31, 1942 in Sullivan, Indiana the daughter of Walter Morris and Virginia (Henderson) Faris. Jean worked for Sullivan Daily Times for several years and was a secretary at Covered Bridge in Terre Haute. She attended Wabash Valley Community Church.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years William Phegley whom she married October 4, 1959, son Bryan Phegley of Indianapolis, Indiana, two daughters; Janalyn Ferguson (Richard) of Zionsville, Indiana and Amanda Carmichael (Darrell) of Indianapolis, Indiana, seven grandchildren; Elizabeth Ferguson , Benjamin Ferguson, Sarah Ferguson, Noah Ferguson, Rachael Carmichael, Cami Carmichael, and Gracelyn Carmichael, two sisters; Janet Grass (Terry) of Mishawaka, Indiana and Marilyn Faris Folz (Jerry) of Brownsburg, Indiana.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 21, 2016 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor John Moyers officiating. Interment will follow in IOOF Cemetery in Carlisle, Indiana. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Brust Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to United Cerebral Palsy Association, 1825 K Street NW Suite 600 in Washington, DC 20006.
