Jerry Lee Orr

Jerry Lee Orr, 73, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on April 7, 2016 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.

He was born on October 1, 1942 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Leibert “Tate” and Frances (Alexander) Orr. Jerry served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and retired from a lifetime career in construction. He graduated from Ivy Tech with an associate’s degree in drafting. He was a member of the Southside Gospel Church and the Sullivan VFW post #2459.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard Orr, David Orr and Michael Orr and sister Sandy Orr.

Survivors include his loving wife Donna Nanney Orr, son Jason Lee Orr (Celena) of Beech Grove, Indiana, step-daughter Paula Robbins (Aaron Johnson) of Sullivan, Indiana, sister Patricia Winkler (Robert) of Kokomo, Indiana, Becky Woolard (Gary W. Rose) of Vincennes, Indiana, Brenda Kerns of Vincennes, Indiana, Linda Rea (Everett) of Sullivan, Indiana, brothers Robert “Bob” Orr (Patricia) of Rogersville, Tennessee, Danny Orr of Linton, Indiana, Mick Orr of Linton, Indiana, four grandchildren; Hannah Orr, Jon Orr, Austin Cunningham and Sheyleigh Robbins. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
