Larry Howard Pinkston

Larry Howard Pinkston, 75, of Hymera, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on December 1, 1942 in Sullivan County, Indiana the son of Howard and Esther (Ford) Pinkston. Larry was a lifelong union coalminer. He was a member of the United Mine Workers, Shelburn American Legion Post #197 and the NRA.

Larry is preceded in death by parents, wife, Sharon (Pardue) Pinkston and sister, Barbara Baryun.

Survivors include his son, Larry (Jennifer) Pinkston II of Shelburn, Indiana, daughter, Tammy Pinkston of Indianapolis, Indiana, eight grandchildren; Larry Pinkston III, Brooke Pinkston, Tiffany Pinkston, Dalton Bell, Tyler Bell, Randy Simmers, Jonathan Simmers and Michelle Burke and brother, Robert (Phyllis) of Graysville, Indiana.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Chaplain Estel Shidler officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson Cemetery in Graysville, Indiana with a Military graveside service by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera Legion Posts and Sullivan county VFW Post. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home.
