Robert C. Gildersleeve

Robert C. Gildersleeve, 83, of Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born on November 22, 1934 in Gary, Indiana Elmer and Wilda (Campbell) Gildersleeve. Robert was a US Airforce veteran and was a lifelong mechanic.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, wife Leah Bright Gildersleeve who passed away in 2014, three brothers; Roy Gildersleeve, Jim Gildersleeve and Junior Gildersleeve and sister, Bonnie McKinley.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly (Dennis) Fritts of Toledo, Illinois, brother, Richard (Barb) Gildersleeve of Wheatfield, Indiana, three sisters; Lucille Mullis of Missouri, Ruth Gildersleeve and Becky Norris, four grandchildren; Willie (Erin) Cooper, Jessica (Brett) Chastain, Matt Cooper and Erica Shepler and eight great-grandchildren; Krista Cooper, Grayce Cooper, Jacob Chastain, Logan Chastain, Cooper Chastain, Brilynn Cooper, Jase Cooper, Raelynn Rader.

Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
