Ruth M (Gladding) Brooks

Ruth M Brooks, 76, of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Sullivan.

            She was born on March 30, 1940, in Vincennes, Indiana the daughter of Edgar Gladding and Ruby Miley Gladding. Ruth was a Customer Service Manager at Walmart. She attended the Church of the Nazarene in Sullivan.

            Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Johnny M Brooks, one sister Sarah Ryder.

            Survivors include three sons, John Douglas Brooks (Stacy) of Sullivan, Brian Brooks (Helen) of Sullivan, and Chad Brooks (Carolyn) of Terre Haute, one daughter, Melissa Brooks of Farmersburg, two sisters, Cheryl Burnett of Vincennes and Tammy Horton (Jeff) of Vincennes, two brothers, Pete Gladding of Vincennes and David Gladding (Rita) of Vincennes, fifteen grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren.

            Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Brian Sorenson and Pastor Juan Loredo officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 8:00PM at Brust Funeral Home.
