Timothy W. Fischer

Timothy W. Fischer, 54, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born on July 8, 1963 in Belleville, Illinois, the son of Fred C. Fischer Jr. and Martha Mae Phegley Fischer. Tim served in the US Army active duty for eleven years and continued his service in the reserves for an additional nine years. He was employed as an operator by C & K Industrial Services in Terre Haute, Indiana. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sullivan, Indiana and Swinging Mates Square Dance Club of Terre Haute, Indiana. Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, square dancing, online gaming with his family, riding on his Argo ATV, and playing euchre.

Tim is preceded in death by his father and brother, Dale Fischer.

Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years whom he married on October 9, 1982, Debbie Chatfield Fischer, daughter, Carolyn Fischer of Carlisle, Indiana, son, Charles Fischer of Sullivan, Indiana, mother, Martha Mae Fischer of Sullivan, Indiana, and two sisters; Cindy (Billy) Fulk of Terre Haute, Indiana and Gail (Chris) Mowry of Gainesville, Florida.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. Bill Sam Phegley officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana with a Military graveside service by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera Legion Posts and Sullivan County VFW Post. Friends may call from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Brust Funeral Home.
