Walter Wayne Keene

Walter Wayne Keene, 70, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born on September 30, 1945 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Walter N. and Helena (Ford) Keene. Walter served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and he was retired from the Labors Union Local 204. He was a member of the Linton American Legion Post #22.

Walter is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Kathryn Heady and Jean Sullivan and brother John Keene.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years Virginia Pryor Keene whom he married on January 19, 1966, three daughters; Sally (Randall) Hendrix of Carlisle, Indiana, Peggy
(Wm. Terry) Andrews of Sullivan, Indiana and Stella (William) Timms of Sullivan, Indiana, three grandchildren; Elaine Andrews, Tyler Andrews and Jessica Cox (Eric), one great-grandson Jackson McClellan, two brothers; David (Judy) Keene of Ohio and Henry (Vicki) Keene of Linton, Indiana, two sisters, Nancy (Bill) Allen of Jasonville, Indiana and Joann (Bill) Chapman of Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Bro. James Quick officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana with a Military graveside service by the Linton American Legion Post #22. Friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Brust Funeral Home.
