David Meadows Sr. Obituary

David E. Meadows Sr., 63, of Shelburn, IN passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.

            He was born in Sullivan, IN September 6, 1960, the son of Charles Meadows and Maybelle (Snider) Meadows.

            David was a Boilermaker with Local #374, he also worked at Sullivan Tire Mart.

He was a member of the Sons of the Sullivan American Legion Post #139, Shelburn American Legion Post #197and the Sullivan VFW Post #2459, also the Sullivan Co. Tractor Pullers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Meadows, and a brother, Dewayne “Clyde” Meadows.

Survivors include his wife, of 16 years, Kay (Barish) Meadows, whom he married on 06/07/08, his mother, Maybelle (Snider) Meadows of Sullivan, IN, a son, David Meadows Jr. (Jenny) of Sullivan, IN, two brothers, Daniel Meadows of Bowling Springs SC, and Dondi Meadows (Teresa)of CA.,  two sisters, Jennifer Eidson (John) of VA, and Julianne Simonic of Virginia Beach, VA, three grandchildren, Gabriel, Margaret, and Harley.

            Funeral service will be at 1:00PM Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, IN with Father Suresh Bakka officiating. Burial in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time Thursday.
