Betty Shroyer, 80, of Shelburn, Indiana passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Union Hospital.
She was born on March 26, 1939 in Sullivan, Indiana the daughter of Ralph Clark and Dorris Knotts Clark. Betty graduated from ISU with her bachelor’s degree in Criminology and retired from IDOC-WVCF Human Resources Department. She was a member of the Shelburn United Methodist Church.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dr. James R. Clark.
Survivors include her son, Richard Shroyer (Janice Ryan) of Sylva, North Carolina, daughter, Lisa Shroyer (Lorene) of Jasonville, Indiana, sister-in-law, Rev. Carolyn Clark of Sullivan, Indiana, grandchildren; Amanda Coffee (Justin), Desiree’ Shroyer, Siobhan Ryan, Steven Ryan (Rachel), Elizabeth Moyer (Justin) and Allissa Lawrence, four great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, her favorite nephew, Steven Clark, several nieces and her close sister-in-law, Sharon Shroyer.
A celebration of life will be 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Shelburn United Methodist Church with interment in Little Flock Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to the Sullivan County Humane Society.
