George Adams

George Adams, 93, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.

He was born on September 9, 1925 in Graceton, Pennsylvania the son of John Adams and Mary Sasala Adams. George was an USCG Merchant Marine Veteran who served in WWII. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sullivan, Indiana, American Legion Post 139, Sullivan VFW Post 2459 and UMW of A.

George is preceded in death by wife, Irene Kuzas Adams, daughter, Patricia Ann Luster and son-in-law, WM Scott Hamm.

Survivors include three sons; George Adams Jr. (Juda) of Marion, Iowa, John Adams (Barbara) of Sullivan, Indiana and Charles Adams (Connie) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter, Janet Ann Hamm of Sullivan, Indiana, son-in-law, David Luster of Nashville, Tennessee, three sisters; Irene Watson of Erie, Pennsylvania, Mary Ann Hines of Meadville, Pennsylvania and Roseanne Colish of Erie, Pennsylvania, six grandchildren, one step-grandchild, seven great-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 26, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sullivan, Indiana with Father John Pfister officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana with a Military graveside service by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera Legion Posts and Sullivan county VFW Post. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Brust Funeral Home.
