Goldie Ione Roush, 96, of Fairbanks, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Spring Hill Village in Terre Haute, Indiana.
She was born on April 11, 1922 in Raleigh, North Dakota the daughter of Daniel and Vera Bird Miles. Goldie married George Arthur Roush and moved to California. She worked at American Aptronics from 1943 to 1973 and then in other locations in the electrically field until she retired in 1987. In 1993 Goldie and George moved back to Indiana where they lived out their lives together. Goldie was a member of the First Baptist Missionary in Fairbanks, Indiana.
Goldie is preceded in death by her only child, Karen Sue Coffman who passed away in August 2003 and Karen’s loving husband Jerry Coffman who passed away in November 2010, her loving husband of 68 years George Arthur Roush who passed away August 11, 2010, two sisters; Lois Darling and Fern McGowan and her parents.
Survivors include two grandchildren; Dennis Coffman of Fairbanks, Indiana and Kimber (Todd) Niemann of Kihei, Hawaii, two great-grandchildren; Kaley Niemann (Spencer) Mello and Jace (Renee) Niemann and two great great-grandchildren; Ryan Mello and Maya Niemann. She is also survived by her church family.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 23, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Larry Gillespie officiating. Interment will follow in New Harmony Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home.
