Kathryn Joyce (Causey) Owen

Kathryn Joyce (Causey) Owen, 72, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on September 7, 2019. She left us peacefully at her residence.  

Born in Anderson, Indiana on October 3, 1946, a daughter to the late Truman Causey and Deloris (Moneyhun) Laughlin.

Our loving and devoted mother and friend to all whose lives she touched, lived a full life as a wonderful mother, grandmother, homemaker, and worker in the manufacturing sector. She truly cherished time with her family and especially loved her role as Grandma. She enjoyed hosting the family reunions which kept the family bonded. She was very crafty with sewing, painting, gardening, and baking. Her hands were rarely still. She had the unique ability to reach people in an accepting and positive way. She will forever rest in peace and in everyone's hearts.  She will be truly missed by her dog, Buddy.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 56 years, John W. Owen; two siblings Johnny Causey and Eddie Causey; and a son-in-law, Dale Kovach. 

Those who survive with memories to cherish include her seven children, Cherri (Steve) Brodin, Lonnie (Rene) Owen, Terry (Rosetta) Owen, Charlene Kovach, Tim (Jenny) Owen, Marlena (Gary) Harlow, and Troy (Jody) Owen; two sisters, Marilyn (Calvin) Stephens and Penny (Jim) Cacoulidis; three sister-in-law’s, Lillian (Lee) Miller, Melva Sutton, and Colleen Causey; 19 adored grandchildren; and 14 precious great-grandchildren.

Please join us Celebrating her Life on Saturday, September 14th at 2:00 p.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 2 South Court, Sullivan, Indiana. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
