Leota Gladys Dunbar

Leota Gladys Dunbar, 84, of Indianapolis, Indiana formerly of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Harrison Terrace.

She was born on August 25, 1934 in Knox County, Indiana the daughter of William Cecil McClure and Helen Mallory McClure. Gladys graduated from Bruceville in 1952 and married William “Bill” T. Dunbar on June 5, 1960. She was a homemaker and worked at Sullivan Daily Times as circulation manager.

Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill Dunbar, son John Cecil Dunbar, three brothers; George McClure, Raymond McClure and Paul McClure and three sisters; Daisy Bishop, Helen Agnus Smith and Betty McClure.

Survivors include her son, James David Dunbar of Indianapolis, Indiana, two daughters; Melissa Dunbar of Indianapolis, Indiana and Susan Dunbar of Sullivan, Indiana and beloved friend and caretaker, Lois Ford of Greenwood, Indiana. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 20, 2019 Bicknell Memorial Cemetery formerly Odd Fellows Cemetery in Bicknell, Indiana with Rev. David Cox officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
