Nina Marie (Smith) Wolfal

Nina Marie Smith Wolfal, 91, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.

She was born on October 6, 1925 in Sullivan County, Indiana the daughter of Cornelius V. Smith and Beulah Fern (Steele) Smith. The family moved to Richmond, Indiana in 1941 and returned home years later. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1943 and married Roland “Bud” Wolfal May 27, 1947. She is a member of the First Christian Church.

She worked for Hill Floral Product in Richmond, People State Bank in Shelburn, and retired from Pfizer Inc in Terre Haute after 39 years of service. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary 2459, American Legion Auxiliary 139, Hymera Chapter Order of Eastern Star 289 and White Shrine of Jerusalem.

Nina is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters; Marjorie Smith Clark and Barbara J. Smith, brother Dwain Smith, three nieces; Judy Clark Rich, Kathy Clark Held and Linda Loudermilk and brother-in-law, James Smith.

Survivors include three nephews; Chris Smith of Shelburn, David Clark of Valparaiso and John Smith of Wesley Chapel of Florida, one niece Karla Clark Mote of Crown Point, great-nephew, Dalton James Smith and several nieces and nephews of the Wolfal family.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2017 at Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, Indiana with Rev. David Cox officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Brust Funeral Home.
