Otha Richard “Dick” Wolfe, 90, of Sullivan, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family to join his beloved sweetheart Katie on Tuesday January 9, 2018, at his residence.

Richard was born on October 21, 1927 in Dugger, Indiana the son of Raymond and Mary Amy (Koons) Wolfe. Richard was a World War II veteran of the United States Army. He retired in 1987 from GE in Linton, Indiana after 35 years of service. Richard was the owner and operator of Wolfe Electric for 30 plus years. He was a member of the Sullivan Church of the Nazarene, Sullivan American Legion Post #139, Moose Lodge and a 50-year member of the Sullivan Masonic Lodge where he was a Past Grand Master. Richard was actively involved in the community, he was a proud supporter of the Merom Chautauqua and the Sullivan Corn Festival where he was honored as grand marshal in 2015. He was an avid hunter. He loved music, he played guitar, wrote his own music, sang and danced well into his late 80’s.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 46 years, Kathyrn (Brock) Wolfe, five brothers; Charles, John, Bill Paul, Basil and Russell Wolfe and three sisters; Geneva Mason, Hazel Null and Rosemary Wade.

Survivors include son, Bruce Wolfe of Sullivan, Indiana, two daughters; Pamela (Michael) Puckett of Linton, Indiana and Karla (John) Hiatt of Sullivan, Indiana, two grandchildren; Amber L. Hiatt and Ian D. Hiatt, one great-granddaughter, Emma L. Hiatt and brother, George (Sandra) Wolfe of Terre Haute, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Masonic services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with a funeral service to follow with Pastor Juan Leredo and Pastor Howard Sewell officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana with a Military graveside service by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera Legion Posts and Sullivan county VFW Post. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until 2:00pm on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Brust Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions in Richard’s name be made to the Sullivan Church of the Nazarene 1050 North Main Street Sullivan, Indiana 47882
