Sherry Diana Bradbury Sheckles, born February 3rd, 1950 to Marilyn Janet and Paul Bradbury, left earth and entered Heaven on Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. Raised in Hymera she graduated from North Central High School in 1968 where she was a cheerleader, baton twirler, Homecoming Queen, and played the French horn. She and husband Roger raised their family in Jasonville before residing in northern Indiana, Georgia, South Carolina, and most recently Sullivan, Indiana. Sherry was smart and kind with a contagious smile. She was talented in many arts and loved to play games. She loved her family deeply and may well have been the proudest Mamaw on earth.
Survivors: Husband Roger Sheckles of Sullivan, Daughter Brandi Koie (Kamran) of Riley, Son Dusty Sheckles of Indianapolis, Siblings Peggy and Nancy Bradbury, both of Hymera, Jim Bradbury (Donna) of Jasonville, Paul Bradbury (Linda) of Terre Haute, Dawn Miller (Bobbie) of Morocco, Jan Taldo of Tontitown, AR, siblings-in-law Steven Sheckles (Penny) of Centerville, Ron Sheckles (Teri) of Indianapolis, Jerry Sheckles (Chris) of Economy , Thelma Brockman (Randall) of Fountain City, grandchildren Addison, Grant, Quentin, and Mariselle Koie all of Riley, and too many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends to list.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, several aunts and uncles, her infant son Chase Sheckles, and her nephew Kerry Sheckles.
Services will be held at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan with visitation Thursday 4-8 and Friday 11-1 when services begin and will be lead by Sherry’s daughter. Friends and family are welcomed.
