Vaneda Rose Howard (Southwood) Pirtle

Vaneda “Rose” Howard Pirtle, 73, of Shelburn, Indiana passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

She was born on December 29, 1943 in Sullivan County, Indiana the daughter of James and Shirley (Wilson) Southwood. Rose worked at North American Latex in Sullivan, Indiana for several years. She was a member of the Northwood Baptist Church in Sullivan.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald W. Howard and brother, James Leo Southwood.

Survivors include son, Don Howard Jr (Rhonda) of Lincoln, Illinois, two daughters; Roxanna Crooks (David) of Sullivan, Indiana and Tracy Howson (Ron) of Sullivan, Indiana and nine grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn, Indiana with Pastor Dave Bright officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
