Agnes Pearl (Allen) Cox of Carlisle passed away on Sunday August 23, 2020. She was born November 1, 1930, in Oaktown, Indiana, to John and Daisy (Hatfield) Allen.
She was a member of Sullivan First Christian Church where she had been active with Missionary Unit #6. Agnes worked at Gossards and Tindall’s early in her working career. She retired as Head Librarian from the Carlisle Library in 2012 after 39 years. She was active in the Carlisle Ruth Rebekah Lodge 176 for many years and was a Carlisle EMT for several years. She sewed for many people over the years, loved to knit afghans, washcloths and hats to donate to Sullivan Hospital for newborns, and watch John Wayne westerns.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Wayne Eugene Cox on December 20, 2014.
Survivors include her children: Mary (Don) Berry, Greenwood, Nancy (Tom) Morin, San Antonio, TX, and Larry (Becky) Cox, Carlisle; Grandchildren Tracy (Jose) Garcia, Ryan (Jill) Berry, Amy (Ted) Perkins-Farthing, Jeremy (Wendy) Eubanks, Kara Cox and Jordan (Courtney) Cox; and 19 great-grandchildren. Two sisters survive, Wanda Stomski of Vincennes and Mildred Hill of Indianapolis.

Graveside services will be Thursday, August 27, at 1:00 PM IOOF Cemetery in Carlisle, Indiana with David Cox officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
