Angela "Angie" Kay (Thompson) Melchert

Angela “Angie” Kay Melchert, 50, of Fairbanks, Indiana passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on September 18, 1971 in Terre Haute, Indiana the daughter of Robert Thompson and Debra Tracy Thompson. Angie married Carl Melchert on June 16, 1993 and was the court recorder for Sullivan County Superior Court for several years. She was a member of the Jasonville Assembly of God and was the Children’s Church Leader. Angie enjoyed doing puzzles, scrapbooking and most of all spending time with her family.

Angie is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Vernon Tracy, paternal grandmother, Mary Thompson and father-in-law, Carl Melchert Sr.

Survivors include her loving husband of 29 years, Carl Melchert, three sons; Josiah (Samantha) Melchert of Fairbanks, Indiana, Nathan Melchert of Fairbanks, Indiana and Levi Melchert of Terre Haute, Indiana, daughter, Shayla Melchert of Sullivan, Indiana, parents; Robert and Debbie Thompson of Fairbanks, Indiana, maternal grandmother, Wilma Tracy of Terre Haute, Indiana, paternal grandfather, Carl Thompson of Naples, Florida, brother; Travis (Bonnie) Thompson of Terre Haute, Indiana, two sisters; Loretta (Brian) Pohlman and Cherry (Rodney) Nedlose all of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, three grandchildren; Gracelyn Melchert, Sadie Melchert and Phoenix Melchert, mother-in-law, Rose Melchert of Oneida, Wisconsin and two sisters-in-law; Holly (Tom) Behm of Little Chute, Wisconsin and Tana (Jason) Aguirre of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM, Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the Assembly of God Church in Jasonville, Indiana with Rev. Samuel Bush officiating. Vitiation will be from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the Assembly of God Church in Jasonville, Indiana. Interment will be at 10:00 AM Monday, August 8, 2022 in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
