Bennie "Sonnie" Leon Aldridge

Bennie “Sonnie” Leon Aldridge, 79, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on August 3, 1940 in Browder, Kentucky the son of Ivan Aldridge and Wilma Louise Peveler Aldridge. Sonnie worked as a truck driver for Sullivan County Highway Department. He was a member of the Carlisle #3 F & AM, Sullivan VFW #2459 and a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge.

Sonnie is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Ivan Aldridge Jr., Billy Aldridge and Chester Aldridge, sister, Joyce Jean Aldridge, grandson, Joseph Luke, daughter-in-law, Erin Ferree Aldridge and son-in-law, Major Fulk.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Webb Aldridge, son, Matthew Earl Aldridge (Hanna) of Sullivan, Indiana, two daughters; Linda Lee Fulk of Shelburn, Indiana and Angela Denise Smith (Gary) of Sullivan, Indiana, brother, Frankie Aldridge of Louisville, Kentucky, sister, Reba Snodgrass (Willard) Louisville, Kentucky, three grandchildren; Shellby Smith, Haley Smith and Autumn Fulk and one great-grandchild, Gemsa Ulrich.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with James Alumbaugh officiating. A military rites service will be at 6:00 PM by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera Legion Posts and Sullivan county VFW Post and a masonic service to follow. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Brust Funeral Home.
