Brent A. “Wormie” Cox, 72, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born on August 18, 1949 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Garland H. Cox and Juanita R. Ridge Cox. Wormie was a veteran of the US Army. He was a safety director and an environmental engineer. Wormie was a member of the Sullivan American Legion Post# 139, Sullivan VFW Post # 2459 and the Sullivan Elks #911.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother, Brad C. Cox, brother, Frank Cox, sister Sharon Sue Cox and sister-in-law, Shirley Cox.

Survivors include nephews; Dwayne Cox (Sandy) of Villa Rica, Georgia, Brian Cox (Bernadette) of Locust Grove, Georgia, Darin Cox of Marietta, Georgia, Josh Cox of Florida and Shawn Cox of Sullivan, Indiana and best friend, Jack Pinkston of Sullivan, Indiana.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Brett Cox officiating with Military graveside rites by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera Legion Posts and Sullivan County VFW Post.
