Caryn Beth Harpring

Caryn Beth Harpring, 60, of Shelburn, IN passed away peacefully in her home on Christmas Day, 2020. Caryn was born in Danville, IL the daughter of Marilyn and William Harpring.  Caryn grew up in Greenfield, IN, went to Greenfield-Central High School and graduated from Cosmetology school.  She worked as a cosmetologist, and also held positions in retail sales as well as in the food-service and hotel industries.

Caryn was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.  Caryn is survived by her best friend and love of her life Matthew Sheldon of Shelburn, IN, and her three children; Michael Masteller of St. Joseph, MO, Mary Anne Masteller of Carlisle, IN, and Amanda Moore of Columbus, IN; and nine grandchildren.  She is also survived by her parents Marilyn and William of Green Valley, AZ, sister Brenda of Carson City, NV, and brother Duane of Avon, CO. 

She loved the desert and hoped to live in Arizona someday.  She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, sitting in her front porch swing enjoying fresh air, sunshine and life.  She was a talented artist, wrote beautiful poetry, loved painting and creating wood burning plaques.  Music was her life.

Some of her fondest memories include playing catch with her granddaughter.  She loved dolphins and nature and cherished the many cats and dogs that were part of her family throughout her lifetime.

Caryn had a kind and generous heart.  She was truly loved and will be greatly missed. Caryn will be laid to rest in Park Cemetery in Greenfield, IN at a later date.
