Charles Rooksberry

Charles E. Rooksberry, 84, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away September 12, 2019 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

He was born in Dugger, Indiana on March 31, 1935 the son of Elmer and Hallie (Bercaw) Rooksberry.

Charles graduated from Dugger High School in 1953. He was a Navy Veteran, received his BS and Masters Degrees from Indiana State University and was a teacher in the Indianapolis Public School System for 36 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, also his wife of 40 years, Alice Marie (Wall) Rooksberry in 1997, five sisters, Bernice, Dorothy, Francis, Helen and Shirley and one brother, James.

Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Rooksberry of Greenwood, Indiana and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00, Monday, September 23, 2019 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Father John Pfister officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Brust Funeral Home.
