Chester G. Murphy

Chester G. Murphy, 67, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born on July 4, 1957, in Frankfort, Germany the son of Harold Lloyd Murphy and Lore Hildegard Murphy. Chester was a member of the Bibleview Church is Sullivan, Indiana. He loved to play Bingo and spend time with his great-niece, Brinlee, who called him CheChe.

Chester is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sister, Peggy (Dave) Taylor of Sullivan, Indiana, brother, Jim Murphy, niece, Carrie (Trent) Bolenbaugh, great-nice Brinlee Bolenbaugh, nephew Collin Murphy, aunt, Betty Courtney and cousin, Terry Ridgeway.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Jim Russell and Pastor Larry Kimmell officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle, Indiana. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Brust Funeral Home.
