Christy Dawn Drane
March 12, 1980 ~ November 6, 2023 (age 43) 43 Years Old
A beloved daughter, sister, mother, niece, cousin, and friend gained her angels wings far too soon, at 43, on November 6, 2023, at 12:43 AM at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Born in Moberly, MO on March 12, 1980, to Edward L. Drane and Patricia R. Wolfe. Christy attended Sullivan Elementary and High School. She lived with her longtime friend and love of 23 years Thane Boles in Sullivan.
She was a beloved mother to Tyler Lee Drane (Mackenzie) of Sullivan, Kyra Rose Sparks (Colten) of Terre Haute and Gracie Marie Boles of Sullivan and a proud grandmother of a granddaughter, Lillith Rose Richardson, Christy is also survived by her mother Patricia Wolfe of Sullivan, mother-in-law Vicky Boles of Sullivan, two brothers Brad Riggle (Jill) of Sullivan and Shane Mason (Jessica) of Sullivan, two nieces Shayna Bays (Cody) of Hymera and Sierra Mason (Coby Branam) of Terre Haute and three special aunts that she loved very much and many cousins.
Christy was a person that was stubborn yet had a free-spirited personality she loved being silly and always had everyone in the room laughing. She was known for her extensive vocabulary it was more than proficient at knowing more curse words than most people learned in a lifetime. “NO SHIT” being a personal favorite of hers. Everyone also knew where they stood with Christy, she either liked you or she didn’t there was no black or white. She was fiercely loyal to family and friends especially three special friends Brandi Wheeler, Jana Schwibbe and Michelle Abrams.
When you think of Christy, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile, short and should be lived to its fullest. “Stubbornness’ and whiskey do kill!” was quote said by Christy on 10-28-2023.
Christy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date followed by a burial at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana.
