Cleotis June (Hall) Hamilton, of Sullivan passed away Saturday September 23, 2023, in her home of 93 years, with the care of her family by her side. She was 97 years old.
Cleotis was born in Sullivan, Indiana on October 24, 1925, the only child of Charles Otis Hall and Clennie Agnes Frakes Hall.
She married Thomas A. Hamilton on August 17, 1943, when he entered the Army for WWII. She graduated from Sullivan High School in 1944 and attended MacMurray College studying business while Tom was in the war. She was a Co-Owner and Bookkeeper for the family business Sullivan Concrete Supply and a past Director of the Sullivan Housing Authority
Cleotis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 58 years.
Survivors include three children; Nancy Willis (Jack), Joe Hamilton (Lynn), Polly Gettinger (John) all of Sullivan, IN, seven grandchildren; Scot Willis, Pete Willis (Reetta), Joie Keller, Jeff Hamilton (Rya), Lorenzo Hughes, Ben Hughes ( Emily Nia ) , and Anna Donovan (John); and 14 great grandchildren; Luke, Carson, Janae, Emma and Zane Willis, Connor, Clynnie, and Cade Keller, Elly, Audrey, and Ty Hamilton, Olivia and Madeline Donovan and Charlotte Baxter,
Graveside services will be Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11:30 AM with Pastor David Lisman officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sullivan American Legion Post #139 or the Sullivan VFW Post #2459 envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
The family wishes to thank her many doctors, nurses, Physical therapists, home health caregivers, and Gentiva Hospice for all the care needed for her to reach this age.
