Clifford Duane Unger, 83, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.
He was born on July 11, 1938 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Frank Unger and Ethel McComas Unger. Clifford owned and operated Unger Muffler in Sullivan, Indiana, Robinson, Illinois and Paris, Illinois and retired from 841 Local Union Operators. He attended the Sullivan First Christian Church. Clifford was a 50-year member and a Past Master in the 32nd degree Masonic Lodge #3 in Carlisle. He was also an active member of the Orange Villa Community in Sebring, Florida where he wintered for several years.
Clifford is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, LaDonna Beard Unger in 2014, son-in-law, Jeff Wamsley, three brothers; Jimmy Unger, John Unger and Cloral Unger and sister, Helen Gleason.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Kearschner Unger, two sons; Clifford Duane Unger Jr. of Rockport, Indiana and David Unger (Sherri) of Sullivan, Indiana, daughter, Bonita Wamsley of Sullivan, Indiana, step-daughter, Cindy Davidson of Paris, Illinois, six grandchildren; Jonathon Unger (Meg), Jerreme Unger (Gloria), Derick Unger (Heather), Corey Unger, Jade Katinas (Chris) and Jacob Wamsley (Brittany) and five great-grandchildren; Valentina, Mary Ann, Samuel, Madelyn and Chloe. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Masonic services will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, November 19, 2021 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with the funeral service to follow. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until the service on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Brust Funeral Home.
