Cora Ruth (Vickrey) Carter

Cora Ruth Carter, 95, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at The Waters of Sullivan, Indiana.

She was born on December 31, 1927, in Sullivan, Indiana the daughter of Chriss Vickrey and Sarah Elsie Pugh Vickrey. Cora was the secretary for Dr. Irvin Scott for several years. She was a member of the Sullivan First Presbyterian Church since 1937.

Cora is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill Carter, son, Richard Carter, grandson, Kyle Carter and seven siblings: Harold, Helen, Teen, Billy R., Bob, Tom and Gene.

Survivors include two sons; Chriss Carter (Debbie) of Sullivan, Indiana and Tom Carter of Kentucky, grandchildren; Amy Murdock (Jeremy), Travis Carter, Dr. Jenna Lee Carter and Carson Carter and great-grandchildren; Cash Murdock, Cora Murdock and Jagger Carter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 8, 2023, at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana with Harold Medsker officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home
