Dean Edwin Springer, 67, of Merom, Indiana passed away on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Danville VA Illiana Hospital.

He was born on March 22, 1952 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Gene E. Springer and Rose Marie Robinson Springer. Dean was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He worked for the town of Merom water company for several years and was a lifetime member of the VFW, Odd Fellows #147 Sullivan, Merom Volunteer Fire Department 1st Class Firefighter and a Republican Precinct Committeeman

Dean is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Gene “Chickie” Springer.

Survivors include his mother, Rose Marie Springer of Winnsboro, Texas, son, Dean Erick Springer of Oblong, Illinois, brother, William Springer (Rita) of Sullivan, Indiana, two sisters; Deborah Eble (Roman) of Winnsboro, Texas and Gretchen Pitts (Hal) of Sullivan, Indiana and one grandson, Jackson Springer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Erich Blevins officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana with a Military graveside service by the Sullivan, Shelburn and Hymera Legion Posts and Sullivan county VFW Post. Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Brust Funeral Home.
