Dennis Paul Walters

Dennis Paul Walters, 84, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Sullivan County Community Hospital.

He was born on October 15, 1937 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Paul Walters and Mildred Morris Shelton. Dennis graduated Sullivan High School and served in the US Navy. He married Lois Tedford in June of 1962. He was a mill operator at Alcan Aluminum in Terre Haute for 20 plus years and later worked at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility as a correctional officer. He was a member of the Sullivan Elks BPO #911 where he enjoyed playing golf. Dennis was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an all-around great man.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Lois Walters, two daughters; Brenda Garrett (Kenneth) of Decatur, Indiana and Paula Walters of Bradenton, Florida and four grandchildren; Elizabeth, Alison, Katelyn and Ryan.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana. Visitation will be Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 20, 2021.
