Dixie L. (Hiatt) Nash

Dixie L. Nash, 82, of Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at her residence.

She was born on August 28, 1941, in Oaktown, Indiana the daughter of Arthur Hiatt and Cora Ridge Hiatt. Dixie married Norman Nash on December 2, 1961. She was a QMA for almost 25 years and worked at Miller’s Merry Manor. She was a member of the Linton 12th St Church of God and taught Sunday school.

Dixie is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 60 years Norman Nash, son-in-law, Edward Lewis and brother, Jack Hiatt.

Survivors include her son, Kevin Nash (Sherri) of Portage, Indiana, daughter, Kelli Lewis of Carlisle, Indiana, six grandchildren: Krystal Brown (James), Erik Lewis (Brei), Megan Lewis, Jaci Franze (Dom), Frank Sanchez (Stefanie) and Whitney Sanchez, twelve great-grandchildren: Angelica Ramos, Tyler Matthews, Rylan Brown, Makayla Sanchez, Carson Lewis, Amelia Ramos, Kadence Brown, Ellie Lewis, Wesley Redding, Josalyn Brown, Royce Ramos, and Brooklyn Franze, sister, Cindy Horton of Carlisle, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. Her family was her pride and joy.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. Chris Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in Providence Cemetery in Paxton, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Brust Funeral Home.
