Ernestine M. (Nash) Alumbaugh

Ernestine M. Alumbaugh, 91, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

She was born on October 23, 1929 in Shelburn, Indiana the daughter of Wilbur R. Nash and Bertha Courtney Nash. Ernestine graduated from Shelburn High School in 1947 and was a lifelong homemaker as well as a nurse’s aide at Miller’s Merry Manor for several years. She was a member of Sullivan First Christian Church.

Ernestine is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Teddy F. Alumbaugh, son, Kenneth Alumbaugh, daughter, Patricia Jean Mason, brother, Philip Nash, two sisters; Norma Jean Asbury and Lois Kimberling, two brothers-in-law; Bob Asbury and Chuck Kimberling, and sister-in-law, Barbara Nash.

Survivors include son, Richard (Mary Jo) Alumbaugh of Brazil, Indiana, daughter, Georgia (Tim) Boles of Sullivan, Indiana, daughter-in-law, Diana Alumbaugh of Shelburn, Indiana, son-in-law, Terry Mason of Sullivan, brother, Arnold Nash of Sullivan, sister-in-law, Marjorie Nash of Brownstown, Indiana, six grandchildren; Brooke Wiltermood, Erica (Lance) Stallcop, Garrett Alumbaugh, Jenna (Dibo) Esdelle, Amanda (Travis) Huddleston and Shawn (Jill) Boles, fourteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. David Cox officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Farmersburg, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Brust Funeral Home.
