Francine “Franny” Hope Herrin, 72, of Fairbanks, Indiana passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Cloverleaf Healthcare in Knightsville, Indiana.

She was born on January 8, 1952, in Lebanon, Indiana the daughter of Fletcher H. York and Bessie J. Townsend York. Franny was a correctional officer at Indiana Boys School for several years. She was a member of Wabash Valley Community Church in Sullivan, Indiana. Franny loved being outdoors, she was an animal lover and free spirited. She enjoyed playing bingo, crafting and most of all spending time with her family.

Franny is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Cheryl Moore and Janice Hood.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Herrin of Avon, Indiana, two sons; Matthew Cornelison of Coatsville, Indiana and Adam Cornelison (Valerie) of Brazil, Indiana, three daughters; Tammy Ayers (Scott) of Greencastle, Indiana, Missy Fishel (Dean) of Monrovia, Indiana and Angela Hughes of Brownsburg, Indiana, two brothers; Terry York (Julie) and Gary York (Kelly) all of Danville, Indiana, three sisters; Carolyn Carter (Steve) of Texas, Emma Hamilton (Brad) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Bonnie Bennett (Roger) of Danville, Indiana, eighteen grandchildren; Sadie, Shelby, Jersee, Dustin, Tye, Larry, Deana, Tonya, Tasha, Teona, Timothy, David, Anthony, Zoey, Joshua, Gabriel, Heather and Zamir. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.
