Gale Jerome Ridge

Gale “Jerome” Ridge, 83, of New Lebanon, IN passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Sullivan, IN with his family by his side.

He was born on April 27, 1936 in Sullivan County, IN to Willard “Jack” Ridge and Rosella Hoesman Ridge.

Jerome retired from IUOE Local 841 Operating Engineers. He had attended and was a supporter of the New Lebanon United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Sullivan Elks #911.

Jerome was preceded in death by his parents and sister Verlene Pirtle and brother Dean Ridge.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara Irvin Ridge whom he married on October 1, 1955, a son, Randy Ridge (Missy) of New Lebanon, IN, three daughters; Jana Hobbs (Steve) of Sullivan, IN, Polly Wible (Mike) of Sullivan, IN and Amy Bell (Mike) of Sullivan, IN, a brother, Gary Ridge of New Lebanon, IN, ten grandchildren; Tara Schaefer (Mike), Jay Hobbs (Megan), Nikki Melvin (Brent), Tessa Wible, Jacki Lewis (Clint), Jared Ridge (Lara), Tori Goodman (Ronnie), Shelby Marx (Cameron), Grant Bell and Kaden Wible, sixteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Brust Funeral Home with Bro. David Lisman and Rev. Barbara Allen officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and before services Wednesday. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in New Lebanon, IN.

In lieu of flowers if you so desire the family request memorial donations be made to New Lebanon United Methodist Church or Mt. Zion Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
