Gary Russell Inbody

Gary Russell Inbody, 81, of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Miller’s Merry Manor.

He was born on January 29, 1941 in Sullivan, Indiana, the son of Russell Inbody and Lucille Shoemaker Inbody. Gary graduated from Sullivan High School in 1959 and from ISU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He served in the US Airforce. Gary married Sara Lynette Wible on December 19, 1970. He co-owned and operated the Inbody Agency with his father in Sullivan until it closed in the late eighties. Then he worked and retired as a rural mail carrier out of Vincennes, Indiana. He was a member of the Sullivan Presbyterian Church, Conservation Club and past member of the Lyons Club. Gary taught shooting sports in 4H for over 20 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Lynette Inbody, three daughters; Ann (Timothy) Durham of Indianapolis, Indiana, Amy (Shane) Southwood of Indianapolis, Indiana and Erin (Michael) Dean of Sullivan, Indiana, nine grandchildren; Rebecca Durham, Samuel Durham, Olivia Southwood, Ian Southwood, Elliott Southwood, Levi Dean, Isaac Dean, Shai (Devin) Sanders and Mason Dean.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. Dawn Black officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana with a Military graveside service by the Sullivan County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Brust Funeral Home.
