Gerald E. Wright, 77, of Sullivan, IN went home peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father with his family by his side Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

            He was born in Sullivan, IN March 6, 1947 the son of Grover Wright and Chloe Ella McInnis Wright.

            Gerald was an Army Veteran who served as a Military Policeman, retired from Wabash Valley Correctional Facility as a Correctional Officer, he also worked at Owens Brockway in Sullivan for 25 years, and was a meat cutter at R&S Meats in Farmersburg, IN. He attended High Pointe Church in Sullivan, IN. He loved gardening, cooking for the family, watching Sy-Fi, Old Westerns, and most of all the love of his life Debbie, children and grandchildren, also his sweet little fur baby Ana.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, also a son, Michael Shane Wright, a sister in-law Beth Wright, a granddaughter, Rachael Ravellette.

            Survivors include his wife, Debra Maxey, son, Chris Wright (Amy) of Vincennes, IN daughters, Amy Ravellette (Brian) of Carlisle, IN, Sarah Abel of Sullivan, IN, brother, Bill Wright of Sullivan, IN, sister, Barbara Fish (Johnny) of Sullivan, IN, 16 grandchildren,: Zach, Caleb, Noah (Katie), Josh, Grace (Cole), Megan R., Megan M., Brock, Logan, Ethan (Savannah), Kendra, Brice, Quinton (Megan), Aiden,  Lillian, Amelia, and 10 great grandchildren.

            Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 1:00PM at Brust Funeral Home with Trevis Pinkston officiating and Military Service by the Sullivan Co Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 11:00AM until 1:00PM Tuesday. He will be buried in the Center Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
