Gladys (Gilbert) Burkhart

Gladys Burkhart, 81, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Breckenridge Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born on January 30, 1938 in Terre Haute, Indiana the daughter of Paul Gilbert and Helen Smith Gilbert. Gladys was a kitchen aide at Westridge Healthcare Facility for several years and was formerly a member of St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church in Terre Haute, Indiana.

She is preceded in death by her birth parents, parents; Paul and Deloris Smith, brother, Clifford Gilbert and two sisters; Norma Swain, Ruby Fish.

Survivors include her son, Tony Burkhart (Kristi) of Sullivan, Indiana, sister, Nadine Horner of Carlisle, Indiana and one granddaughter, Austin Burkhart of Sullivan, Indiana.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 31, 2020 at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana. Visitation will from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Brust Funeral Home.
