Guy Lankford Sr.

Guy Lankford Sr., 84, of Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

He was born on November 28, 1940, in Vincennes, Indiana the son of Carbon Lankford and Golda Seals Lankford. Guy was a member of Indian Prairie Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing music in church and at local nursing homes. Guy liked to go fishing, hunting and spending time on his farm with all the animals.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Jack Lankford, Carbon Lankford Jr. and David Lankford and two sisters; Patty Arthur and June Fletcher.

Survivors include his loving wife, Rhonda Maynard Lankford, two daughters; Stephanie (Bill) Clark of Montgomery, Indiana and Guyana (Hunter) Brown of Terre Haute, Indiana, five sons; Richard (Pam) Lankford of Mooresville, Indiana, Corey Lankford of Washington, Indiana, Cary (Loretta) Spear of Shelburn, Indiana, Guy Lankford Jr. of Oaktown, Indiana and Jason (Nesha) Lankford of Sullivan, Indiana, ten grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 14, 2025, at Indian Prairie Church in Carlisle, Indiana with Pastor Tim Ferree officiating. Interment will follow in Indian Prairie Cemetery in Carlisle, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Indian Prairie Church in Carlisle, Indiana.
