Hubert Ronel “Ron” Skinner II, 74, of Sullivan, Indiana passed away on June 27, 2022 at his residence.

He was born on May 11, 1948 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Hubert Skinner and Maxine Frances Bedwell Skinner. Ron graduated from Sullivan High School Class of 1966 and was drafted into the US Army. He served in Vietnam. Ron married Deborah Ellen Wright on January 13, 1969. He retired from INDOC after 11 years and from Amax Chinook Coal Mine after 23 years. He was a member of the Sullivan American Legion Post #139 and the Sullivan VFW Post #2459.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Deborah Skinner, two sons: Brad Skinner (Corrie) of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jeff Skinner (Susan) of Terre Haute, Indiana, six grandchildren: Bailey (Jonas) Thompson, Jakeb Skinner, Liberty Skinner, Chloe Skinner, Isabelle Skinner and Lliam Skinner and eight great-grandchildren; Roman, Jordyn, Oliver, Hazel, Herschel, Ivy, Winnie and Baker.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, July 1, 2022 at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor David Simpson officiating with a Military service by the Sullivan County American Legion and Sullivan County VFW.
