Isabelle Joy (Jones) Alsman

Isabelle Joy Alsman ”Izzy”  55, of Sullivan went to be with the Lord Saturday,

November 23, 2019 with her family by her side.

            She was born in Clinton, IN August 21, 1964 the daughter of James H. Jones and Judith A. Foos Jones.

            Isabelle was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shelburn, IN where she was active in the food pantry, and children’s ministry before she became terminally ill.  She was also a member of the ElShaddi Emmaus Community.

          Isabelle was a 1983 graduate of South Vermillion High School and 2012 Harrison College Graduate when she received a bachelors in accounting and business administration. She was formerly employed at Staples Distribution Center, and Columbia House.

            She was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, James H. Jones Jr.

            Survivors include her mother Judith A Thomas of Clinton, husband Brent Alsman of Sullivan, IN, two sons, Jared B. Alsman (Emilee) of Clinton, IN, James M. Alsman and children of Sullivan, IN, a daughter, Sarah Milliron (Tyler) of Plainfield, IN two sisters, Cathy Louderback of Brazil, IN and Georgia Hurst (Kent) of Russiaville, IN, five grandchildren Adalyn, Karver, Pierce, Bryson and Kohen, special nephew and nieces, Josh Knuckles, Morgan Mullenix and Ashley Hurst.

            Funeral services will be at 10:00AM Tuesday November 26, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Shelburn with Pastor Ben Wetherington officiating. Interment will follow in the Roeslawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, IN.  Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM Monday at the First Baptist Church 520 W. Mill St. Shelburn, IN. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.

            In lieu of flowers Isabelle requested donations can be made to either Shelburn First Baptist food bank or Sullivan Co Humane Society.
