Ivan "Tuffy" Robbins

Ivan “Tuffy” Robbins, 83, Carlisle, Indiana passed away on July 15, 2020, with his family by his side. 

Tuffy was born on July 5, 1937 to Ivan and Nellie (Broshears) Robbins. He was a caring husband, brother, father, grandfather and uncle. Tuff had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people across his life and create lifelong friendships.  He farmed with his dad “Pops”, did contract harvesting work alongside Don Woolard “Donut”, hauled melons every summer, drove a semi to Florida more times than anyone could count, and won a National Championship as a Tractor Puller. Later in life, he enjoyed cruising Carlisle on his golf cart and checking up on his friends.  Tuff always had a big smile and a happy greeting to anyone he passed. He was well loved by all.

Tuff was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary, daughter Rene and sister Peggy Phegley.

He is survived by his sons; Bub Koenig, Rob Robbins & Rick Robbins, a sister, Grace Phegley, eight grandkids and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be graveside at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carlisle Indiana, with Pastor Bret Cox officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the Carlisle EMT at PO Box 206 Carlisle, Indiana 47838.
