Jack Dexter Tislow

Jack Dexter Tislow, 90, of Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Oak Village Nursing Home 29 years to the date after his wife passed away.

He was born on September 6, 1930 in Vincennes, Indiana the son of Roy Tislow and Mazzie Vantlin Tislow. Jack graduated from Carlisle High School and was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Shaker Prairie Church.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Jean Lamb Tislow, sisters; Norma Barker and Verona Kanae, brother-in-law, Jim Barker and sister-in-law, Carol Tislow.

Survivors include his son, Jay Tislow (Beth) of Carlisle, Indiana, three daughters; Janella Harbin (Allen) of Fort Pierce, Florida, Jill Parker (Johnny) of Loganville, Georgia and Jeanette Hale (Mike) of Fishers, Indiana, brother, Don Tislow of Carlisle, Indiana, seven grandchildren; Chad Tislow (Leah), Stacey Beall (Greg), Wes Harbin (Abi), Chris Harbin (Desiree), Curtis Parker, Sarah Parker and Craig Hale (Ranae), eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several special nieces and nephews

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Shepherd Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Brust Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to Shepherd Cemetery (which is a separate organization from Shaker Prairie Church), checks payable to Shepherd Cemetery and mailed to 3217 W Co Rd 1075 S Carlisle, Indiana 47838.
