James R. Kellams “Jim Bob” 76, of Sullivan, IN passed away at his residence surrounded by his family Tuesday, February 16, 2021.
He was born in Bradley, IL August 21, 1944 the son of Max Kellams and Thelma Kimberlin Kellams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a step mother, Helen Kellems, a brother, Eddie Ray Kellams and a grandson Joshua Joa Barker.
Jim Bob was a Marine in the Vietnam War. He was the former owner of Kellams Glass Co. in Sullivan, IN, and a Glazier for AGM Glass Co. in Indianapolis, IN.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Gayla Ridge Kellams whom he married on July 6, 1993. He had six children; Kyra Mann (Jeff) of Merom, IN, Kela Gilham of Sullivan, IN, Kory Kellams (Kayla) of Carlisle, IN, Kahn Kellams (Wendy) of Effingham, IL, Kelly Phillips-Torrance (Craig) of Sullivan, IN and Todd Phillips (Sylvia) of Bargersville, IN, two brothers; Donald Kellams (Harriet) of Louisiana, John Kellams of Florida, 18 grandchildren Jayla, JaKayla, Zoey, Devon, Nick, Nate, Justin, Joscelyne, Jayson, John Paul, Joseph, Jaleigh, Kashton, Kinsle, K.J., Keaton, Khye, and Kaylene, 8 great grandchildren also two sister in-laws; Garla Land (Roger), DeOla Davidson (Floyd) a brother in-law Bub Ridge (Nancy) an several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be at 1:00PM, Friday, February 19, 2021at the Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Mark Bailey officiating. Interment will follow with a Military Graveside Rites by the Sullivan County Honor Guards.
