Jo Anne (Walls) Holbert

Jo Anne Holbert, 75, of Shelburn, IN passed away Monday, December 22, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Sullivan, IN. June 12, 1950, the daughter of James Walls and Wilma McCammon Walls

            She married Richard L. Holbert on June 12, 1971 in a small ceremony at the Taylor Prayer Chapel in Farmersburg, IN. She retired from Mary Sherman Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide for over 30 years. She loved crafting, and Genealogy and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Jo Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 45 years Richard Holbert who passed away in 2016, also a brother, James R. Walls.

Survivors include two sons, Richard Holbert Jr. (Elizabeth) of Terre Haute, IN, Brent Campbell of Terre Haute, IN, three daughters, Jo Lynn Holbert (Bill Pickard) of Shelburn, IN, Andrea Holbert of Sullivan, IN and Alicia Holbert (Alec Grendysa) of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, 4 grandchildren, Bailey Potts (Zach), Tailor Cooper (Sean), Bengerman Nasser (Christina Meany), and Kaitlyn Haraway (Dalton Moscrip), also 12 great grandchildren.

            Graveside services will be at a later date; cremation has been chosen.
