John Bell, 77, of Carlisle, Indiana passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born on March 6, 1947, in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Charles Bell Sr. and Flossie May Daughtery Bell. John worked at Wabash Products in Terre Haute, Indiana until his retirement.

John is preceded in death by his parents, wife Marianne Zelsner Bell, son Johnny William Bell Jr., three brothers: Charles Bell, Elmer Bell and Jerry Bell and sister LaDonna Kay LaFollette.

Survivors include son, Richard (Adina) Smock of Lyons, Indiana, two daughters; Tonya Bell of Linton, Indiana and Rhonda Smock of Linton, Indiana, three sisters; Ruby Cullison of Dugger, Indiana, Norma Howard of Dodge Center, Minnesota and Carolyn (Steve) Dunder of Sullivan, Indiana and three grandchildren; Evan Smock, Kayla Smock and Karly Smock. He is also survived by his companion of 19 years Carole Plummer, her children; Rob Plummer of Carlisle, Indiana, Rick (Kathy) White Shake of Carlisle, Indiana and Tiffany Atkinson of Sullivan, Indiana, her grandchildren; Taylr (Brady) Hall, Kassie Shake (Justin Abbott), Anna (Adam) Elkins, Breanna Shake, Oliva Atkinson (Austin Massey) and William Atkinson and her great-grandchildren; Hayden, Kenzi, Carson, Khloe, Bryson, Byron and Anderson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana. Interment will follow in Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn, Indiana. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Brust Funeral Home.
