John Stephen Davis

John S. “Steve” Davis, 68, of Farmersburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice in Terre Haute, Indiana.

He was born on December 1, 1954, in Terre Haute, Indiana the son of John Davis and Mary Lou King Davis. Steve was a veteran of the US Navy and worked construction. He was a member of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Jasonville, Indiana.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pat West.

Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Cynthia “Cindy” Tincher Davis, son, Adam Davis of Farmersburg, Indiana, two daughters; Athena Davis (David Unger) of Farmersburg, Indiana and April Davis (Martin McCoskey) of Farmersburg, Indiana, five grandchildren; Racheal Whippo, Daniel Whippo, Breanna Whippo, Katelin Whippo (Jonathan Martin) and Lilly Davis, three great-grandchild, Elijah, Corinthia and Emmett, two brothers; Tom Davis (Elone) of Terre Haute, Indiana and Mike White of Hymera, Indiana and brother-in-law, Jim West of Bedford, Indiana.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, October 30, 2023, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, Indiana with Pastor Jerry Ross officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Sullivan County, Indiana with military graveside rites by the Sullivan County Honor Guard. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Brust Funeral Home.
